Your Time Changes Lives

Transformation requires trust. Trust requires presence. When you show up
consistently for someone rebuilding their life, you become proof that
change is possible. That's what we need—people who show up.

*Criminal history doesn't disqualify you. Your experience is an asset.

Why Beat The Streets

Most reentry programs treat people like problems to fix. We treat them
like entrepreneurs waiting to be activated.

When you volunteer with Beat The Streets, you're not doing charity.
You're building a movement. You're connecting with people who have
survived what most never will—and helping them channel that resilience
into legitimate success.

We don't want saviors. We want partners. People who understand that
transformation is mutual—that when you help someone else rise, you rise too.

  • 650,000 People release from prison each year

  • 50% Recidivism rate nationally

  • 27% Unemployment rate for formally incarcerated

You can change these numbers. One relationship at a time.
